Understanding the result
PDF dimensions are stored in PostScript points (72 points = 1 inch = 25.4 mm).
Orientation is determined by width vs height along with any declared page Rotate dictionary values (90, 180, 270 degrees).
If a document contains pages with differing sizes, a mixed-size alert highlights non-standard pages so you can resolve imposition errors before printing.
Important limitations
- Password-protected, damaged, or unusually complex PDFs may not load.
- Keep a backup of the original document and verify the downloaded file before relying on it.
- Encrypted or password-locked PDFs cannot be inspected until unlocked.
- Rotated pages report effective visual orientation based on the net orientation of width, height, and rotation angle.
