About AI to CDR Converter – Illustrator to CorelDRAW
The server accepts AI files whose signatures identify PDF-compatible or PostScript content.
Server conversions use an isolated temporary directory. Input and output files are deleted automatically when each request finishes.
How to use this tool
- 1Upload a supported .ai file up to 15 MB.
- 2Choose PDF, first-page SVG, or first-page EPS.
- 3Run the capability-gated conversion.
- 4Import in CorelDRAW and check layers, fonts, gradients, and clipping.
Understanding the result
PDF-compatible AI may be passed through as real PDF before optional export.
Older PostScript AI uses Ghostscript’s safe PDF conversion.
Important limitations
- No verified native CDR writer is configured. The download is a genuine CorelDRAW-ready interchange file, not a renamed or simulated .cdr file.
- Illustrator-only layers, effects, brushes, linked assets, and color settings may not survive open interchange.
